EDUCATION

The educative proposal for the children living in the country is one of the most important programme of ASSEFA. It has been introduced into the most distant regions, where the possibility of attending the school is very limited.

In many projects the educational programmes start together with the programmes of integrated development. Differently from the official educational system ASSEFA educational programme is principally based on values, and it has the proposal of favouring the intellectual, economical, physical and spiritual growing of the children.
This approach not only helps the students to keep on studying after the first cycle of school, but also to develop harmony and respectul feelings within their community. Nowadays 70.000 children and teenagers are attending 1.300 regoular and qualified schools, from primary school to superior school. There are also nursery schools and others specialized in receiving children who had left school and were obliged to work as victims of exploitation.

There are also some schooling courses for men and women. The students can even attend a high school which gives them a training according to the working necessities.
At the moment there are courses for electricians,refrigerator mechanics, diesel motor mechanics; some students are attending p.c. trainings and there are sewing and embroidery trainings for girls.
